First Art Show

Friday, March 18th I will be one of 16 artist participating in the 2nd annual One Night Art Gallery at the Victor Lofts in Camden, NJ.  I have 10 fine art photography pieces and I invited my father who is also Paul Loftland (an accomplished traditional artist) to display some of his work. 

The Victor Lofts is located at 1 Market Street, Camden (Waterfront), NJ 08102.  The Gallery will be open from 4pm to 9pm on Friday March 18th only.  Admission is free so stop by and join us if you can.

Announcement by organization  "The Victor Lofts and Greater Camden Partnership will be putting on our 2nd Annual One Night Art Gallery. The event will be held in the retail space on the ground floor next to the bank. Come out and enjoy a night filled with live music, local artist and good conversation.

Philadelphia Convention Center Expansion Ribbon Cutting: Architectural Space

Friday March 4th, 2011, I had the pleasure of photographing the Philadelphia Convention Center Expansion.  My assignment was to capture the the Architectural space of the ribbon cutting ceremony for this new $787 million dollar convention center.  Which makes it the 14th largest in the nation and the largest exhibit space in the northeast.  This Center resides in center city philadelphia close to all major attractions and hotels and just down the street from City Hall the nations largest municipal building. 

As an Architectural photographer with experience capturing events.  I was commisioned to provide an overall view of this event thru its architecture.  I was also commissioned to take a large group portrait in the New Terrace ballroom which is larger than a football field.  If you look closely you'll see Rocky and Ben Franklin in the group.

Inside Philadelphia's 30th Street Station

An inside look at 30th street station in Philadelphia, Pa with a 360hdvr (virtual tour). 

This station was opened in 1933 and the Art Deco Architectural design was by Chicago based firm Graham, Anderson, Probst  and White.  Originally names Pennsylvania station and is listed on the National Register or Historic Places.  This station was feature in the films Blow Out, Trading Places, and Witness.

Architec360: Photography without boundaries

30th Street Train Station - Philadelphia, PA

30th Street station is usually busy place. I arrived when there wasn't that much activity. It actually works better for these HD360VR's. Its a beautiful building with some great architecture. The ceiling is amazing for a public building. I really like the longated windows.

Mutter Museum: College of Physicians: Rotunda

Standard Definition 360 Virtual tour of the Rotunda at the College of Physicians in Philadelphia, PA. This VT was requested to show the space of the rotunda for meeting and events.

SD360 Virtual Tour LaCroix - Rittenhouse Hotel Philadelphia, PA

Private Dining Room at the 4 Diamond LaCroix Restuarant in the Rittenhouse Hotel located in downtown Philadelphia, PA.

Standard Definition is actually a HD360 without the extra post processing. Standard definitions don't do a full spherical panorama. You won't be able to see the feet of top of the 360. However you only lose about 10 degree view. This is because of the lens and tripod being left. SD usually have a few minor stitch errors, they are barely visible.

This particular 360 I did remove tripod cap so its pretty close to a HD. The reason you would want a SD version over the HD version is because of price. Post processing is cut almost in half therefore I can past the savings along.

360HD Panoroma Virtual Tour Residences at Two Libery, Philadelphia, PA : Bedroom

Great view of city from the Bedroom at the Residences at Two Liberty in Philadelphia, PA. This Virtual Tour is an example of a very high quality High Definition Virtual Tour. Normally a little more retouching would of been done to this Virtual Tour. The image was color corrected for the interior. The next step would have been to layer a color corrected image of the outside to remove the blue cast. This was done as personal work therefore the extra effort did not go into it. However you can see the high detail in the fabrics and furnishings. The interior was color corrected and if this image went to print would be suitable for publishing in Architectural Digest. IMHO.

Mia Restaurant - Atlantic City, New Jersey

One of my favorite restaurants. The food is great and the architectural design is amazing. This is a HD360 panorama (Virtual Tour). It is set to rotate automatically. Creation of my website

Yesterday I attempted to install wordpress on to my servers to create my website. I decided that I'm not a programmer and I need to leave that to someone else. It was a lot more work than I could handle. So I decided to take another route and created a simple website via another program. I be using dreamweaver and another program to create it. After about 4 hours of working with my old host. I was finally able to get the site live. Only the first page is done and none of the links are working. I expect to have it somewhat functional in a couple of days. The site will host my HD360 Architectual Panorama's also known as Virtual Tours. The difference is mine is of the highest quality. My site will also showcase my architectural photography and Lifestyle architectural photography. Its a work in progress but will be a great place to see my unique capabilities.

In addition I will be offering a very unique product called a virtual brochure. Check back to see and example. I should have one online in a couple of days.
